If there are conditions to the offer of eternal life, then it can't be a gift. As previously mentioned, nearly 200 times in the New Testament the only condition stated for salvation, or for eternal life, is faith or belief. There is nothing mentioned about any maintenance requirement. According to the New Testament, we have life, or eternal life, based solely on whether or not we have the Son, Jesus Christ. "If you have the Son, you have life." |
