What do you have to lose?
A French scientist and mathematician, Blaise Pascal, postulated a couple centuries ago that if you choose to believe that there is a God and it turns out, in the end, that you are wrong, you probably have gained a lot because you had a sense of purpose, direction and meaning in life - and have lost little or nothing. But if it turns out that you are right, you have not only gained in this life, but you have gained in a major way by ending up with God in Heaven for eternity. To sum it up, if you believe in God, you have everything to gain and relatively little to lose. On the other hand, if you reject God, you have nothing to gain and everything to lose!
