Whether or not "they" have an excuse, we don't
If the claims of Jesus Christ are true, then it comes down to all of us having a choice to make. We can either be part of the problem or part of the solution.

Regardless of how God handles the masses of people who don't know about Christ, the fact is that we do know about Christ. If we fall short of His standards and we hear about Christ's payment for our sins and then either remain passive or actively reject that offer of forgiveness, we can't stand before God with an excuse.
