What good is it if no one can agree?
Some say that no one really seems to agree on how to interpret the Bible. It seems that if five different people read it, they come up with five different views. This problem can be solved by taking a common-sense approach and using the same principles we use to understand everything from newspapers to novels. The first principle is that we take biblical statements in context. The sentence should be taken in context with its paragraph, the paragraph in context with the chapter, and so on.

Those who take the Bible in context find that the main things of the Bible are the plain things, and the plain things are the main things.
