Why did God 'allow'
us to do evil?
Why did God give them such a choice when he knew, if they chose wrongly, that His beautiful plan would be ruined and that suffering would follow? Adam and Eve could have made the right choice. There was nothing inevitable about their disobeying God and rebelling against him. Why would God even give them the option of messing it up if he was such a loving God? Precisely because he is loving.
