One may ask a pantheist, "How do you know that it's not an illusion that pain is an illusion?" Pantheism not only fails to provide intellectual satisfaction on this question of pain and suffering, but it also doesn't help us emotionally or subjectively. How would you feel if your child was dying of a painful disease and someone told you that pain is just an illusion? |
